Neurotechnology is the application of scientific knowledge drawing on a range of subjects such as mathematics, biology, physics, neuroscience, and engineering to investigate and treat neurological disorders. Rapidly emerging neurotechnologies are revolutionising the way that scientists and clinicians understand the brain and its functions, and providing new avenues for intervention and treatment. These innovations are increasingly important as the incidence of neurological disorders is predicted to increase with the aging population. Reducing this burden is a major challenge.

The goal of the NeuroTechnology Innovation Programme (NTIP) is to harness the full potential of technological innovations to transform patients’ lives. The NTIP spearheads the development of a series of key technological platforms with a view to accelerate their clinical development and translation into routine clinical practice.

Our Collaborators

Our neurotechnology research is supported by our neuroscientists and clinical researchers working in close collaboration with our existing cross-disciplinary partners, including A*STAR, NUS, NTU and SINAPSE, to develop state of the art neurotechnological solutions.

Innovation Translator

We also support collaborations with both local and global tech companies that share our vision of creating innovative neurotechnologies that can help us better understand and treat neurological disorders.
