Residency

Neurosurgery Residency

The Neurosurgery specialty treats a range of traumas, diseases and conditions of the brain, central and peripheral nervous systems, as well as supporting blood vessels and skeletal structures.

Our residency offers a seven-year training programme, after the completion of the internship or transitional year. It includes a unique fully funded research year in between the fourth and fifth year of your residency training. So you can be assured of many fruitful learning opportunities with us.

You will be exposed to a wide spectrum of neurosurgical disorders ranging from major Adult to Paediatric Neurosurgery conditions. This will be made possible through your rotations at the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) locations at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), Singapore General Hospital (SGH), KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH), as well as at our major participating site, Changi General Hospital (CGH).

Our goal is to produce versatile and patient-centric Neurosurgeons who will lead the field in the future. If you are highly motivated, responsible and have a good attitude towards learning, Neurosurgery has its doors open for you.
