Tegafur/Gimeracil/Oteracil (TS-1®)

• Nausea and vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Tiredness and lack of energy
• Decrease white and red blood cells, platelets
  To minimize infection risk, ensure personal hygiene and take adequate precautions e.g. avoiding crowded areas. 

Inform your doctor if any of the following occurs:

• Fever of 38°C or higher, sores in the mouth and throat 
• Sudden onset of cough or shortness of breath
• Chest pain or irregular heartbeat
• Unusual bleeding, bruising or black stools
• Severe diarrhea uncontrolled by anti-diarrheal medication e.g. more than 4 times/day
• Yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark tea-coloured urine and severe abdominal pain
• Skin rash or itch

• Use effective birth control during treatment and for 6 months after stopping TS-1®. Inform your doctor if you or your partner suspect or plan for pregnancy.
• Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you:
• Are taking other medication or supplements e.g. warfarin, phenytoin.
• Have any other medical conditions e.g. heart problems.
