Dr. Tran completed his undergraduate education at University of California, Los Angeles, United States with a focus in Biochemistry and Mathematics. He completed his medical education in Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, Singapore, and Radiology training under SingHealth Clinician Scientist track. He is a radiologist in SGH Department of Diagnostic Radiology, subspecialized in Body Imaging.
Prior to a career in medicine, he worked at a Neuro-Oncology lab at UCLA, studying genetics, epigenetics and radiogenomics signature of Glioblastoma. During his Radiology residency, he led a study to investigate vascular normalization in Hepatocellular carcinoma using advanced MRI imaging technique and mouse xenograft. He enjoys problem-solving via computer programming and discovering hidden patterns in data. His research interest is in leveraging Artificial Intelligence to improve a radiologist’s efficiency and accuracy.
