Profile

Dr Vincent Ng graduated from National University of Singapore in 2001. He completed his basic postgraduate surgical training in 2005 and obtained his membership in General Surgery conferred by the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh (MRCS Ed). He completed his Master of Medicine in Surgery (MMed) conferred by the National University of Singapore in 2006.
 
Dr Ng started his Neurosurgical advanced surgical training at the National Neuroscience Institute (Singapore) where he worked at the Singapore General Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Changi General Hospital. He completed his neurosurgical training and was accepted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh (FRCS) in 2011. He was conferred Fellowship in the Academy of Medicine in 2012.
 
He was awarded a scholarship by the Ministry of Health (MOH) Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) in 2012 and went for a 1-year fellowship in Endovascular Neurosurgery at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, United Kingdom. He was conferred Masters of Science (Endovascular Neurosurgery) by Oxford University in 2013.
 
To further his budding interest in clinical research, Dr Ng was awarded NMRC Scholarship to undertake the Master of Clinical Investigation in 2011 in National University of Singapore.
 
For his contribution in teaching, Dr Ng was appointed as an Adjunct Assistant Professor by the DUKE-NUS graduate medical school in 2013. He is also Clinical Senior Lecturer in Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He is in the Yew Tee Primary School Advisory Committee.
 
He is the current Vice Chairman of the Chapter of Neurosurgeons and Vice President of Clinical Neuroscience Society and a member of the Congress of American Neurological Surgeons (CNS) and American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS).
 
In recognition of his service quality to patient care, he was awarded the Star Award in 2019 Singapore Health Quality Service Awards.
