Profile

Dr Colum Nolan graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2001 and underwent Basic Surgical Training in Dublin, Ireland. He was exposed to Neurosurgery during his internship and decided at an early stage to pursue this as his specialty. His neurosurgery training was undertaken in Ireland and also at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Melbourne, Australia where he did an intra-residency fellowship in General Neurosurgery at Senior Registrar level from 2012-2013.

He then completed a fellowship in Complex Spine Surgery from 2013-2014 at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge UK which also included a rotation at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital in the Orthopaedic Spine Unit.

Since 2014 he has been working at the National Neuroscience Institute where he specialises in all types of spinal surgery.
