The 18th Singapore International Stroke Conference will be conducted virtually from 25 to 27 March 2021.
The theme of the conference in 2021 is "Building Bridges for Stroke Care". It reflects how stroke care can only improve if we build and strengthen bridges between different professional groups caring for stroke patients, between the basic sciences to clinical care, as well as between the different stages of a stroke patient's journey. The patient journey entails several stages and factors mainly Hyperacute treatment, Acute stroke unit management, Rehabilitation, Secondary prevention and management of complications, and Life After Stroke. This same journey requires the expertise of different professional groups caring for stroke patients as well as the advancement of basic sciences and clinical care.
At the Conference, we will be discussing stroke care from hyperacute reperfusion, stroke unit management, recovery and rehabilitation and secondary prevention. There will be a transprofessional element throughout the programme to learn from perspective of various healthcare professionals and from stroke patients themselves. Emerging discoveries in basic science, translational work to clinical practice and health service research in stroke will also be featured.
This is virtual conference.
Registration will commence soon.
