About Researcher

Dr Xiao is a Principal Investigator at the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) and an Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. A trained neurologist specialising in movement disorders, he directs research on biomarkers and actionable targets in neurodegenerative diseases. His objective is to develop therapeutic options that may halt or reverse the underlying pathological processes of these conditions, including Parkinson’s disease. By integrating clinical observation with translational studies, his work seeks to identify disease-signalling biomarkers and advance treatments that address disease biology, moving beyond symptomatic relief to improve outcomes for patients.
