About Researcher

Associate Professor Liao Ping serves as Principal Investigator and Clinician Scientist at the National Neuroscience Institute, specialising in ion channels and neurological diseases. His research focuses on understanding the aberrant ion channel functions in the development of neurological diseases, in particular cerebrovascular diseases.

A/Prof Liao Ping has developed a series of therapeutic antibodies targeting TRPM4 channel. These antibodies have the potential to manage stroke, vascular dementia, head injury and others with hypoxia/ischemia insult.
