Dr Steve Wong is a Consultant in the Department of Neuroradiology, Singapore General Hospital, sub-specialising in interventional neuroradiology.
He is an NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine alumnus and ASEAN Scholar from the class of 2014, graduating in the Dean's List. He served as the Chief Resident of his cohort as part of the esteemed Singapore Chief Resident Program, and attained specialist accreditation in 2021.
In 2024, Dr Wong completed a year-long fellowship in interventional neuroradiology in Reims, France, sponsored by MOH's Human Manpower Development Plan Award. Under the proctorship of Professor Laurent Pierot there, he gained a wealth of experience in the treatment of intracranial aneurysms with intra-saccular devices such as the WEB (Woven EndoBridge) and flow diverters, as well as managing brain arteriovenous shunts.
As a part of the SGH Neurointervention team, he routinely performs endovascular treatments of various neurovascular conditions, such as acute ischemic strokes and brain aneurysms. Additionally, he is experienced in the percutaneous treatment of head and neck low-flow vascular malformations, namely sclerotherapy for venous and lymphatic malformations.
