Dr Thomas Tan Choo Heng

​Dr Thomas Tan Choo Heng, also known as Dr Thomas Tan, is a consultant neurosurgeon at the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI). He sees patients at Sengkang General Hospital (SKH), where he is Head of Service, Neurosurgery (NNI@SKH) and also attends to patients at Woodlands Health and NNI@TTSH.

Dr Tan graduated from Medical School at National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG) in 2010. He moved to Singapore in 2012, and he joined the Neurosurgery Residency of National University Hospital (NUH) in 2014. During his residency training, he was also trained in Ng Teng Fong Hospital and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He was the Chief Resident of Neurosurgery from 2019 to 2020. He completed his fellowship examination FRCSed (Surgical Neurology) in 2020.

He subsequently joined National Neuroscience Institute with cross campus coverage between Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Sengkang Hospital.
