Professor
Prof EK Tan is a Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Academic Affairs) and Senior Consultant Neurologist at the National Neuroscience Institute, a Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
Prof Tan has received various international accolades for his contributions to academia and education including the IAPRD Lifetime Achievement Award and MDS Marsden lectureship award. He is also a recipient of the President Science award, a three-time recipient of the NMRC STaR Award and a winner of the National Medical Excellence Award.
He chairs the MOH SAB research committee and is instrumental in leading the MOH Clinician Scientist Residency programme.
Prof Tan's clinical interest is in the care of patients with neurodegenerative disorders including Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor and other related disorders.
