Dr Chan Ling Ling underwent medical training at NUS, radiology specialist training at SGH and TTSH, and worked two years as a clinical neuroradiology fellow in the Texas Medical Centre in Houston, USA. Since qualifying, she serves as faculty in Neuroradiology at SGH, and anchors neuroradiology X-Rays rounds for near-two decades. As PI, Dr Chan works closely with clinicians, radiographers and physicists to harness cutting-edge imaging technology to solve clinical problems.
In the recent years, she is involved in various research and innovation projects applying AI to assist with tissue and lesion segmentation and disease classification. These span use cases of intracranial haemorrhage, neurodegeneration, tumours, infection, and thyroid related disorders. Her international and industry collaborations have widened the repertoire of advanced MRI and AI tools that her team uses to track structural and functional changes and aid in the radiological workflow, diagnosis and prediction. Dr Chan has >210 peer reviewed publications, 5592 citations, an i10-index of 123 and H index of 39. She has mentored many students in research, co-authored 300 abstracts at local and international conferences, and received >50 accolades as PI or supervisor. She has spoken at numerous international and national conferences, including RSNA, ESNR, CCR and ISMRM.
