Spine Surgery and Peripheral Nerve Programme

Spinal disorders include abnormalities of the spinal column, intervertebral discs, nerve roots, spinal cord and the adjacent structures.

The Spine Surgery programme specialises in providing comprehensive treatment of aspects of spinal surgery including complex reconstructive surgery of the craniovertebral junction, cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral spine due to degenerative, congenital, traumatic, neoplastic or infectious origins. Our multidisciplinary team comprises highly trained Spine surgeons, Neuro-anaesthetists and Intensivists, Neuroradiologists, Neuro-pathologists and experienced nursing staff.

Surgical treatments are accomplished using the most advanced technology and surgical techniques which include:

  • Advanced microsurgical techniques
  • Intra-operative spinal navigation for image guided surgery

Our facilities comprise:

  • Neurosurgical operating rooms equipped for intra-operative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to allow for microsurgical precision and image-guided stereotaxis
  • Specialised neurocritical care units with state-of-the-art monitoring for postoperative care
  • Inpatient neurologic rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation facilities to assist in post-operative recovery
