How can you reduce the risk of seizures in epilepsy?

Reduce the risk of seizures by:

Taking prescribed anti-epileptic medications regularly
Avoiding over-consumption of alcohol/alcohol binges
Seeking early treatment for illness and fever
Reducing stress levels
Getting sufficient sleep and rest

How can you prevent complications of seizures in epilepsy?

Prevent complications of seizures by avoiding the following:

Swimming unsupervised or in open waters
Activities at height
Bathing in a bathtub
Activities involving open fire and hot surfaces
Activities involving heavy machinery and firearms
Driving. Seek the advice of your doctor
