1. Asian Australasian Society of Neurological Surgeons (AASNS) Fellowship Programme (NNI@TTSH)

Objective

The Asian Australasian Society of Neurological Surgeons (AASNS) Fellowship Programme is a general neurosurgical fellowship programme that aims to develop clinical fellows as independent, competent neurosurgeons by providing them exposure to the state-of-the-art management of patients under various neuro-surgical subspecialties including neuro-oncology, neurovascular surgery, spine surgery, skull base surgery, traumatic brain injury and neurocritical care. Clinical fellows will be given opportunities to assist in surgeries and may be given opportunities to perform selected surgeries under supervision.

Entry Requirement

Candidates should have recently completed residency training programme or equivalent.

2. Cerebrovascular Fellowship Programme (NNI@TTSH)

Objective

The Fellowship will give the applicant a well-rounded exposure to the management of day-to-day as well as complicated neurovascular cases. The Fellow will be exposed to state-of-the-art management of these patients which include operating theatre microsurgical experience, exposure to endovascular techniques in bi-plane angiography suite, neurocritical care which employs multimodality monitoring techniques like cerebral blood flow and tissue oxygenation, as well as neuro-rehabilitative discussions. Attendance at multidisciplinary conferences will also be a feature.

Entry Requirement

Candidates should have completed neurosurgical training and have a keen interest in Cerebrovascular surgery and Endovascular techniques, both clinical as well as research perspective.

6 to 12 months

 

3. Spine Fellowship Programme (NNI@TTSH)

Objective

The Fellowship provides clinical fellows with exposure to assessment, treatment, and management of patients with spinal problems. Fellows will be given opportunities to assist and perform spinal surgery under supervision, maintain the spine registry and undertake research. In addition, fellows will attend the spine clinics and be exposed to the strengths of a multidisciplinary approach to the management of spinal problems.

Entry Requirement

Candidates should hold an appointment as Neurosurgery or Orthopaedic Resident who has completed their specialist training in their respective countries and intends to have a significant subspecialty spine practice.

6 to 12 months

 

4. World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) Fellowship Programme (NNI@SGH / NNI@TTSH)

Objective

The World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) Fellowship Programme is a general neurosurgical fellowship programme that aims to allow clinical fellows to gain exposure in the state-of-the-art management of patients under various neuro-surgical subspecialties including neuro-oncology, neurovascular surgery, spine surgery, skull base surgery, traumatic brain injury and neurocritical care. Clinical fellows will be given opportunities to assist in surgeries and may be given opportunities to perform selected surgeries under supervision.

5. Neurosurgery Neuro-oncology Fellowship Programme (NNI@TTSH)

Objective

The Fellowship provides clinical exposure to the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with brain tumours. On a weekly basis, fellows will run outpatient multi-disciplinary clinic, manage inpatient Neuro-Oncology consults, and attend the Brain Tumour Board. In addition, fellows are expected to participate in the conduct of ongoing clinical trials and undertake at least one clinical research concurrent with their clinical training.

Entry Requirement

Candidate have been to Neurosurgeon or neurosurgical resident with special interest in neuro-oncology.
