NNRIS

The National Neuroscience Research Institute Singapore (NNRIS) is a joint venture by the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) and Duke-NUS Medical School. The institute consolidates expertise from the two organisations’ neuroscience research programmes, integrate resources for common use, as well as develop a new research facility for neurobehavioural experiments.

NNRC

The Neurocognitive Research & Clinical Centre (NNRC) was set up with the mission to provide the highest standard of care in diagnosis and treatment of individuals with cognitive disorders.

Research Facilities

Established in November 2000, the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) Neuroscience Research Laboratories is fully equipped with facilities including a Dextroscope for surgical planning and navigation and a FACSaria Cell Sorting System for high speed sorting and multicolour analysis to enable our research teams to pursue cutting-edge scientific explorations and investigations.

Research Programmes

At the National Neuroscience Institute, we run core research programmes for the following: Stroke, dementia, movement disorders, neuro-genetics, neuro-oncology (includes stem cell), surgical navigation (includes robotics).

Clinical Trials

The mission of NNI research is to improve treatment and discover cures for neurological diseases. Participation in clinical trials is a cornerstone of NNI’s research foci. Our clinicians have a long and illustrious history in clinical research, and active local, regional and international collaborations.
