Profile

​Dr Lee Chee Meng is an Associate Consultant of Breast Service in the Department of Surgery, Sengkang General Hospital. He is also part of the Singhealth-Duke NUS Breast Centre.

Dr Lee graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2009, and received his formal general surgery training under the Singhealth General Surgery Residency Program.
He completed his membership examination of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland (Surgery) in 2011 and obtained the Master of Medicine (Surgery) from the National University of Singapore in 2019.
He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (General Surgery) in 2020.

Dr Lee practices at Sengkang General Hospital's department of General Surgery and specialises in Breast Surgery and Trauma Surgery. The treatment of elderly women with breast cancer is a key interest area for Dr Lee, as the proportion of elderly patient presenting with cancer increases with the improving life expectancy of women in Singapore. He believes that age should not be a determinant of fitness for surgery and cancer treatment, and treatment outcomes in elderly patients can be just as good as their younger counterparts.

Dr Lee has a special interest in the field of Trauma and is committed to the care of polytrauma patients. Dr Lee is also heavily involved in medical student and postgraduate residency education and serves as a clinical tutor and mentor.
