About NNI Fund

Dementia. Stroke. Parkinson’s disease. Brain tumour.

These conditions change people’s lives forever. Some patients lose control of their body functions. Others suffer memory loss. Eventually, many lose both.

National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) cares for close to 80% of the nation’s patients for conditions affecting the brain, spine, nerves and muscles.

The World Health Organisation predicts that by 2040, neurodegenerative diseases such as dementia and Parkinson’s disease will overtake cancer to become the second leading cause of death after cardiovascular disease1.

Your contributions to NNI Fund will enable us to do more by subsidising needy patients to relieve them from financial worries, funding ground-breaking research to transform care and advancing education in neuroscience to improve healthcare outcomes – to offer our patients hope in their fight to live.

The NNI Fund is a part of SingHealth Fund (SHF) – which was incorporated on 2 September 2016 as a Company Limited by Guarantee to operate charity funds for the SingHealth cluster. All donations to the NNI Fund are ring-fenced under the SHF (UEN No. 201624016E) for NNI Fund purposes and will be used in accordance with the donors’ intent for neuroscience causes. As an Institution of Public Character (IPC), SHF is committed to maintaining highest standards of governance and abides by the Code of Governance for Charities and IPCs.
