1) “Delivering Precision Medicine for Asian Population” by Dr Saumya Jamuar:
The presentation will focus on efforts at PRISM in building the reference base of genomic and phenotypic data, and a framework to return medically significant variants in the Asian context, as we aim to bridge gaps in global precision medicine initiatives.
2) “Exploring Electronic Health Records as Phenotype Sources for Genomic Medicine” by Dr Lim Weng Khong:
Advances in sequencing technology drives adoption of whole-genome sequencing in the clinic. However, identifying gene-disease relationships and assessing variant pathogenicity is dependent on the availability of patient phenotypes. To address this, we will discuss efforts at PRISM by mining for phenotypic information from Electronic Health Records.
