Neuroscience nurses need to achieve their aspirations to align with NNI’s belief that all staff must be developed to realise their fullest potential.

Our departments provide and coordinate a full range of training activities geared towards developing our nurses to maintain and advance their competencies, and acquire additional skills to support the Institute's mission.

Continuing Education and Staff Development

Continuing Nursing Education is important in NNI and is given high priority.  Our nurse clinicians are constantly upgrading their knowledge and skills to keep abreast with the advancement and changes in Neuroscience nursing through in-service, ward rounds, case presentations, OJT, talks, seminars, conferences, HMDP, overseas’ attachments and visits.

Training Programme

The nurses also coordinate and provide neuroscience nursing training programme for both local and foreign nurses.

The training programme is designed to develop nurses to be proficient in nursing patients with neurological disorders.  It is to provide individuals with a sound knowledge of neuroscience nursing and to equip them to deliver quality care to patients.   The programme will benefit those working in neuroscience discipline, as well as those interested in becoming specialist neuroscience nurse.
