Hydrocephalus refers to the accumulation of excessive cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the ventricular cavity. The latter is the space within the brain that contains CSF. It’s often difficult to tell the difference because symptoms of Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) are in many ways similar to those of Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s. This inaugural symposium aims to cover the many aspects of diagnosis and treatment of NPH.
